Fortune 500 Turkey list which is prepared with contributions from D&B Turkey is announced
Wednesday, July 3, 2013Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) with over 170 years of experience on business information and having over 200 million of business all over the world in its database and credit rating firm Finar announced the Fortune 500 by making collaboration with Fortune Turkey. Among the list which determines the 500 largest companies according to their net sales in 2012, once again Tüpraş kept its top place on the list. Tüpraş, only producer in Turkey and 7th largest refinery company in Europe, increase its net sales by 15,4% and reached 47 billion 100 million lira in 2012.
In Fortune 500 Turkey list, petrol and energy companies once again dominated the top 10 as the previous years. With net sales amount of 179,7 billion lira, seven of the top 10 companies which have the 29,2 of the Fortune 500 net sales operates in petrol and energy industry. In Fortune 500 list, Petrol Ofisi placed second with 20,2 billion lira of net sales after Tüpraş. TEDAS which increased their net sales by 20,4% last year, listed as third in 2012 list with net sales of 17,1 billion liras.
